A set ~ of sorts

Saturday, 27 September 2008
Over the last couple of nights I've been working on this little outfit for a baby girl.
In the 8 years I've been sewing I've never actually made a whole outfit. Top and pants, top and skirt, overalls and hat sure but never a full set from head to toe.

The hat and shoes come from different patterns but the top and pants are from the same one.

The hat is from this pattern:
Lovingly modelled by one of the kids teddy bears.

The shoes are from a new conceptions pattern free off the net
The top and pants are from this simplicity pattern. I've made it a 1/2 size, to fit babies I guess around the 6mth mark. I am hoping it won't be too big as the bubba is not quite 3mths yet.
All thats left to do is the casing on the top and thread the elastic through then hem it.
The pants need a casing for the waist and the elastic through it as well.
Then I'm done.

It feels good to have it almost completed.
