Tantrums and Twirly skirts

I think the look on Miss I's face says it all really! She didn't want to have her photo taken and was in the process of storming off when I took it. After watching her big sister twirling and running around having shots taken, she came back outside and gave me her best "model" poses.

I finished the shorts for Imogen on Wednesday night so she could wear them for her christmas carol performance at school the next day ( they performed Aussie Jingle Bells and needed to wear shorts, a singlet and thongs~ She had the shorts at least lol)
I like them, she likes, so this one gets two thumbs up from me :)

I also put together a twirly skirt for August to wear on her last day as well. I do love how easy these skirts come together but OMG the gathering drives me banana's! I even have a ruffler foot for my machine and I am still hesitant to use it, stupid girl that I am . It would of made this skirt so quick to whip up.
. I just used scraps left over from the "Make it perfect" versatile wrap skirt I made myself last Saturday.

It has very nice "twirlability" too

and if you excuse the very bad, eyes close, photo of myself ( and some of my feral children) here is a very bad photo of my versatile wrap skirt. I will get another one taken when the skirt is out of the wash and ironed and I don't look so "festive" :)
This was taken back at home after a looooooooong night out at our rural fire brigades christmas party so the skirt is a little crushed and not hanging properly due to kids hanging off me LOL
