Dotty for Spotty Pyjama's

Sunday, 3 February 2008
I feel like such a neglectful crafting mama at times. I haven't sewn anything for my babies since their christmas outfits were made. As much as I have wanted to sew and as much as I love hearing all their "oohs" and "ahhs" and " WOW Is that for me?" I just haven't had any sewjo (sewing mojo) lately.

Finally last night though, after hearing the girls complain for the last two weeks how they don't have any comfortable pyjama pants anymore, I set about making them some super easy pyjama shorts from the summer 3/2007 issue of Ottobre (pattern #10 i think)

I finished them after the girls had gone to bed last night so first thing this morning they excitedly asked me If I had finished them and when I produced the two pairs of Pj shorts, they quickly put them on and wanted to wear them into town LOL.

All I have to do is make their matching singlet tops (Same Ottobre issue pattern #9)

Now for the photos
Pair #1 for miss 4.5 with rolled hem( excuse the belly button :) )
Pair #2 for miss 6, with my cheating version of a rolled hem ( i just used my overlock stitch on the sewing machine and stretched the fabric as it went through)

Action shots to come.............

My sewjo has left the building too after over-doing over Christmas. But those PJ bottoms are great! Well done crafty mama!

That edging looks great - has a nice scalloped look to it. They look super comfy too - wouldn't mind a pair like these for myself :)
