It's all about me. No, not really :)

I've managed to finish another two things on my very long list of UFO's
Here is the ruffled skirt for August. I had it all cut out and ready to go after making Imogens but only started it yesterday afternoon. It looks a bit wonky here in the photo, but it's not. It's all straight but needs and iron to help the bottom layer sit properly and the lace not fold over.

A singlet top for August made from "It's all about me" ( it's so her!) stretch fabric from the Crafty mama's shop. Again it's the same Ottobre pattern as the Pj top for Imogen (issue 3/2007 not 1/2007 like I had written in my last post- sorry!) I have another one of these to make, a pj top for August. I really love this pattern, it's so easy to whip up and I am loving doing my own binding :)

Whilst I was sewing my darling other half was keeping the kids amused. They decided they wanted to be crafty as well so they got out the toy knitting machine ( it's like a loom I guess )
They spent the afternoon making tubular scarves and knee high funky socks! I didn't get any pics of the scarves but

How do you like August's pair of funky socks?? Very bright and colourful aren't they! Unfortunately they are also very slippery on our tiles too.

As I was going through my UFO's I also found this piece of the pattern for Fletchers green stripey shirt I made last week. I had such a hard time trying to work out how to put the shirt together. I thought a piece was missing but as I couldn't find it anywhere, I thought the fault was entirely mine. If only I had learnt to store my UFO's properly then important pieces of patterns wouldn't go missing thus making my sewing life much less stressful.

I am mostly finished the Pj pants to go with this top too, no piccies of that though until it's done :)
I am having a few probs again with my overlocker. I had it serviced and it came back working beautifully, but then a thread snapped when I was sewing with it rather quickly. I rethreaded it and the tension was all wrong. I spent a good hour working through trying different tensions and I just cannot get it back to how it was. Maybe its because I changed the thread to another colour? I'm going to have to buy some other overlocker threads to see if that makes the difference. Grrr to it though!

I love the material you used to make the singlet, would suit my daughter to a tee lol

Overlockers can be such a pain can't they, mine loves giving me troubles too
